United Nations Day - 79th Anniversary of U.N. Charter

  • St. Louis City Hall 1200 Market Street St. Louis, MO, 63103 United States (map)

#UN for US UN Day 2024

October 24, 2024 marks the anniversary of the founding of the United Nations on October 24, 1945. Each year, we recognize this influential organization and its mission to uphold international peace and security, foster friendly relations among nations, encourage global cooperation, and coordinate efforts worldwide.

This year, the United Nations Association of the United States of America is proud to highlight the theme "UN for US," emphasizing the UN's vital role in our everyday lives and communities. The UN's work is crucial, addressing climate change, promoting sustainable development, protecting human rights, and providing humanitarian aid.

The United Nations Association of Saint Louis presents United Nations Day 2024, celebrating the 79th anniversary of the U.N. Charter. We unite stakeholders together to highlight progress, emphasize global cooperation and recognize individuals who exemplify the values of the U.N., as Mary T. Hall honorees.

With the partnership of the City of St. Louis’ Office of New Americans, we recognize the importance of working together in solidarity to create a better world of justice, peace and mutual understanding.
